Projects
Lebanese youth have pioneering and creative ideas that they need to develop in their homeland. Thus, Labora has decided to contribute to the establishment and management of small and medium size industrial projects inspired from such ideas. Labora seeks as well to contribute to the establishment of productive sectors in all Lebanese regions in order to motivate youth to remain in their homeland and in their rural areas and not to dismiss their own culture and heritage, by providing unemployed youth with opportunities to work in their communities and ensuring them dignified jobs and stable revenues.
The department focuses on the following priorities:
The target group is Lebanese youth. Projects conducted are based on their creative ideas to improve their perception of the country and enhance its image. The department provides all the requisite assistance to promote intelligent ideas and foster promising projects liable to recruit unemployed youth.
Partnership: Each member or group that conducts a project is deemed a partner of Labora.
The department addresses concerns affecting youth and tries to find implementable solutions to these issues through these projects. Priority is thus given to projects that meet directly the needs of Lebanese youth.
The department’s objectives are as follows:
- Reduce migration from the periphery to central cities and abroad.
- Create job opportunities and increase productivity and purchasing power.
- Reduce the drastic sale of land.
- Diversify local productions and market agglomerated industries.
- Reinforce youth presence in rural areas.
- Enliven rural areas.
- Promote, develop and market creative ideas that feature Lebanese youth.
Types of projects
Projects that focus on creative works both industrial and technological, seasonal projects such as the picking of cherries, potatoes... as well as projects focused on tourism, animals, agriculture and handicraft, economic and commercial projects, and so on.
